peter pan collar, bow collar, scoop collar, pearl collar

one // two// three// four// five

My love for collars is no secret (especially peter pan collars). Now that they are popping up everywhere, someone got smart and turned the collar sensation into a must have accessory. They might as well have just sent out checks for everyone to double their wardrobe since these little beauties can turn one top into two with just the tie of a bow. I need the pearl and black bow collars from ASOS desperately. How about you?

mes dames campaign

The photos from the Mes Dames spring campaign are definitely Downton Abbey meets Marilyn Monroe. And the warmer the weather gets, the more I feel like swirling around outside in flowy pieces, too. Does anyone else share this feeling with me? In my mind it feels a lot like the way these photos are portrayed, when in reality, I’m sure it looks much more like a lost tourists’ dance for help (while wearing a flowy dress). Nonetheless, I do it anyways…

spring break vacation to italy

It’s officially spring break around here! Technically we have two more weeks to wait since Seth’s school is quarterly, but that’s neither here nor there. Actually, this week I’ve done the exact opposite of spring break activities. I’ve unpacked the last few moving boxes, organized craft supplies, worked, worked a little more, cleaned, and scoured through Goodwill trying to find something I accidentally donated last week (dead serious). All these things considered, I’ve still taken the time to sketch up my little   dream spring break to Italy. (We’re headed to San Antonio, it’s no Italy, but a girl can dream, right?)

create beachy ocean hair waves

I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I’ve wished I could bottle up the ocean and take it home with me specifically for the effortless beachy waves it leaves my hair with. Now, however, I can make my own faux ocean (minus the sun and surf) with this sea salt hair mist that I adapted from Projectville Rose. Here’s how to make your own–

I’ve been eyeing leather wedges for the past year. I really, really like the idea of these cuties, but I have a few conflicting thoughts on them. For instance, when it comes to spring and summer I don’t really prefer shoes that require me to premeditatedly plan out what I might be doing that day. This may seem trivial but, unlike most fashionistas and fashion bloggers, I really have no grace when it comes to wearing heels & wedges. Women that can wear 4+ inch heels on a daily basis and can move faster than the speed of smell, are trained athletes in my book. I mean, there is something to be said for having the word “kitten” in front of most of the heels you own (like myself). They might as well just say call them what they really are–The  “I walk like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in real heels” Heels.

On the other hand, I’m being forced to reconsider when everywhere I look someone is raving about wedges– like here, here & here. I can’t escape it really. Now, all this to say that I’ve recently become bound and determined to find those perfect creamy leather jewels. Here’s what I’ve liked so far–

(Technically #4 could be considered not a wedge, but I found them in the wedges section so don’t judge me. )

You’d be surprised where some of these are from, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, ya know? Which pair do you like best? Or better yet, have you found the perfect wedges that you’d be willing to share details on, pretty please?
